He changed his number!

For those of you who have not heard Dale jr. will no longer be driving the number 8 Budwiser chevy next year. He will be driving the number 88 National Gaurd car for Rick endrick next year. Gordon, Johnson, Mears, Jr. teammates. can you believe it.

Well...since I'm not able to keep up with the news too well....I'll guess. I imagine it has something to do with the #8 being owned by DEI? Jr and Teresa don't see eye to eye on a lot of things...so that could be it. Is that it Mrk? You're the NASCAR junkie...lol.

The number 8 is owned by DEI and since it was Dale sr. father's number when he was racing it was decided that it should remain with DEI.

Ah but I think it is more closely associated with Jr. It's not going to seem the same without him in the number 8. It's as iconic to him as the number 3 was for Dale. Don't you agree Mrk?

For sure....some drivers are just associated with their numbers for pretty much their entire career...Earnhardt...Gordon....and yes Junior.

But a lot of drivers change numbers pretty often....most do in fact.
