Subject: Catching Wild Pigs (WOW)

Catching Wild Pigs

A chemistry professor in a large college had some
exchange students in the class. One day while the class was in the
lab the Professor noticed one young man (exchange student) who kept
rubbing his back, and stretching as if his back hurt.

The professor asked the young man what was the matter.
The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been
shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying
to overthrow his country's government and install a new communist
government.

In the midst of his story he looked at the professor and
asked a strange question. He asked, 'Do you know how to catch wild
pigs?'

The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the
punch line. The young man said this was no joke. 'You catch wild pigs
by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the
ground. The pigs find it and begin to come every day to eat the free
corn. When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down
one side of the place where they are used to coming.

When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the
corn again and you put up another side of the fence. They get used to
that and start to eat again. You continue until you have all four
sides of the fence up with a gate in The last side. The pigs, who are
used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat, you
slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd.

Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run
around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go
back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have
forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept
their captivity.

The young man then told the professor that is exactly
what he sees happening to America. The government keeps pushing us
toward socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of
programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income,
tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops
(CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, etc.. While we continually lose our
freedoms -- just a little at a time.

One should always remember: There is no such thing as a
free lunch! Also, a politician will never provide a service for you
cheaper than you can do it yourself.

Also, if you see that all of this wonderful government
'help' is a problem confronting the future of democracy in America,
you might be correct!!!!

If you think the free ride is essential to your way of
life then you will probably delete this email, but God help you when
the gate slams shut!

In this 'very important' election year, listen closely
to what the candidates are promising you!!

Just maybe you will be able to tell who is about to slam
the gate on America.

It came to me while I was having dinner with Doris Day. No, not that Doris Day, the Doris Day who is married to Col. Bud Day, Medal of Honor recipient, fighter pilot, Vietnam POW and roommate of John McCain at the Hanoi Hilton.

As we ate near the Days' home in Florida recently, I Heard things about Sen. McCain that was deeply moving.

When it comes to choosing a president, the American people want to know more about a candidate than policy positions. They want to know about character, the values ingrained in his heart. For Mr. McCain, that means they will want to know more about him personally than he has been willing to reveal.

Mr. Day relayed to me one of the stories Americans should hear.

It involves what happened to him after escaping from a North Vietnamese prison during the war.

When he was recaptured, a Vietnamese captor broke his arm and said, 'I told you I would make you a cripple.' The break was designed to shatter Mr. Day's will. He had survived in prison on the hope that one day he would return to the United States and be able to fly again. To kill that hope, the Vietnamese left part of a bone sticking out of his arm, and put him in a misshapen cast. This was done so that the arm would heal at 'a goofy angle,' as Mr. Day explained. Had it done so, he never would have flown again. But it didn't heal that way because of John McCain.

Risking severe punishment, Messrs, McCain and Day collected pieces of bamboo in the prison courtyard to use as a splint. Mr. McCain put Mr. Day on the floor of their cell and, using his foot, jerked the broken bone into place. Then, using strips from the bandage on his own wounded leg and the bamboo, he put Mr. Day's splint in place.

Years later, Air Force surgeons examined Mr. Day and complimented the treatment he'd gotten from his captors. Mr. Day corrected them. It was Dr. McCain who deserved the credit. Mr. Day went on to fly again.

Another story I heard over dinner with the Days involved Mr. McCain serving as one of the three chaplains for his fellow prisoners. At one point, after being shuttled among different prisons, Mr. Day had found himself as the most senior officer at the Hanoi Hilton. So he tapped Mr. McCain to help administer religious services to the other prisoners.

Today, Mr. Day, a very active 83, still vividly recalls Mr. McCain's sermons. 'He remembered the Episcopal liturgy,' Mr. Day says, 'and sounded like a bona fide preacher.'

One of Mr. McCain's first sermons took as its text Luke 20:25 and Matthew 22:21, 'Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's and unto God what is God's.' Mr. McCain said he and his fellow prisoners shouldn't ask God to free them, but to help them become the best people they could be while serving as POWs. It was Caesar who put them in prison and Caesar who would get them out. Their task was to act with honor.

Another McCain story, somewhat better known, is about The Vietnamese practice of torturing him by tying his head between his ankles with his arms behind him, and then leaving him for hours. The torture so badly busted up his shoulders that to this day Mr. McCain can't raise his arms over his head.

One night, a Vietnamese guard loosened his bonds, returning at the end of his watch to tighten them again so no one would notice. Shortly after, on Christmas Day, the same guard stood beside Mr. McCain in the prison yard and drew a cross in the sand before erasing it. Mr. McCain later said that when he returned to Vietnam for the first time after the war, the only person he really wanted to meet was that guard.

Mr. Day recalls with pride Mr. McCain stubbornly refusing to accept special treatment or curry favor to be released early, even when gravely ill. Mr. McCain knew the Vietnamese wanted the propaganda victory of the son and grandson of Navy admirals accepting special treatment. 'He wasn't corruptible then,' Mr. Day says, 'and he's not corruptible today.'

The stories told to me by the Days involve more than wartime valor. For example, in 1991 Cindy McCain was visiting Mother Teresa's orphanage in Bangladesh when a dying infant was thrust into her hands The orphanage could not provide the medical care needed to save her life, so Mrs. McCain brought the child home to America with her. She was met at the airport by her husband who asked what all this was about. Mrs. McCain replied that the child desperately needed surgery and years of rehabilitation. 'I hope she can stay with us,' she told her husband. Mr. McCain agreed. Today that child is their teenage daughter Bridget.

I was aware of this story. What I did not know, and what I learned from Doris, is that there was a second infant Mrs. McCain brought back. She ended up being adopted by a young McCain aide and his wife. 'We were called at midnight by Cindy,' Wes Gullett remembers, 'and five days later we met our new daughter, Nicki at the L.A. airport wearing the only clothing Cindy could find on the trip back; a 7-Up T-shirt she bought in the Bangkok airport.' Today, Nicki is a high school sophomore. Mr. Gullett told me, 'I never saw a hospital bill for her care.'

A few, but not many, of the stories told to me by the Days have been written about, such as in Robert Timberg's 1996 book 'A Nightingale's Song.' But Mr. McCain rarely refers to them on the campaign trail. There is something admirable in his reticence, but he needs to overcome it. Private people like Mr. McCain are rare in politics for a reason. Candidates who are uncomfortable sharing their interior lives limit their appeal. But if Mr. McCain is to win the election this fall, he has to open up.

Americans need to know about his vision for the nation's future, especially his policy positions and domestic reforms. They also need to learn about the moments in his life that shaped him. Mr. McCain cannot make this a biography-only campaign, but he can't afford to make it a biography-free campaign either. Unless he opens up more, many voters will never know the experiences of his life that show his character, integrity and essential decency. These qualities mattered in America's first president and will matter as Americans decide on their 44th president.

Jane Fonda is being honored as one of the

Unfortunately, many have forgotten and still
countless others have never known how Ms.
Fonda betrayed ,not only the idea of our country,
but specific men who served and sacrificed
during Vietnam!

The first part of this is from an F-4E pilot, Jerry Driscoll, a River Rat.

In 1968, the former Commandant of the USAF
Survival School was a POW in Ho Lo Prison
the ' Hanoi Hilton.'

Dragged from a stinking cesspit of a cell,
cleaned, fed, and dressed in clean PJ's, he was
ordered to describe for a visiting American
'Peace Activist' the 'lenient and humane
treatment' he'd received. Instead,He spat at Ms. Fonda!

He was clubbed and dragged away.
During the subsequent beating, he fell forward
on to the camp Commandant 's feet which
sent that officer berserk!

In 1978, the Air Force Colonel still suffered from
double vision (which permanently ended his
flying career) from the Commandant's frenzied
application of a wooden baton!

From 1963-65, Col. Larry Carrigan was in the
47FW/DO (F-4E's). He spent 6 years in the
'Hanoi Hilton',,, the first three of which his
family only knew he was 'missing in action'.
His wife lived on faith that he was still alive.
His group, too, got cleaned-up, fed and paraded out

to show the world that they were alive, and being treated well.
Each man, though, secreted a tiny
piece of paper, with his Social Security Number
on it, in the palm of his hand..

When paraded before Ms. Fonda and a
cameraman, she walked the line, shaking each
man's hand and asking little encouraging
snippets like: 'Aren't you sorry you bombed
babies?' and 'Are you grateful for the humane
treatment from your benevolent captors?'
Believing this HAD to be an act, they each
palmed her their sliver of paper.

She took them all without missing a beat. At the
end of the line ...and once the cameras stopped
rolling, to the shocked disbelief of the POWs,
she turned to the officer in charge and

HANDED HIM ALL THE LITTLE PIECES OF PAPER!.

Three men died from the subsequent beatings!
Colonel Carrigan was almost number four...
but he survived, which is the ONLY REASON we
know of her actions that day!

I was a civilian economic development advisor
in Vietnam , and was captured by the North
Vietnamese communists in South Vietnam in
1968, and held prisoner for over 5 years.

I spent 27 months in solitary confinement; one
year in a cage in Cambodia ; and one year
in a 'black box' in Hanoi
My North Vietnamese captors deliberately
poisoned and murdered a female missionary, a
nurse in a leprosarium in Ban me Thuot, South
Vietnam , whom I buried in the jungle near the
Cambodian border.
At one time, I weighed only about 90 lbs.
(My normal weight is 170 lbs.)

We were Jane Fonda's 'war criminals!'

When Jane Fonda was in Hanoi , I was asked by
the camp communist political officer if I would
be willing to meet with her.

I said yes, for I wanted to tell her about the real
treatment we POWs received... and how
different it was from the treatment purported by
the North Vietnamese, and parroted by her as
'humane and lenient.'

Because of this, I spent three days on a rocky
floor on my knees, with my arms outstretched
with a large steel weights placed on my hands,
and beaten with a bamboo cane.

I had the opportunity to meet with Jane Fonda
soon after I was released.

I asked her if she would be willing to debate me on TV.
She never did answer me.

These first-hand experiences do not exemplify
someone who should be honored as part of '100 Years of Great Women.'

Lest we forget...' 100 Years of Great Women'
should NEVER INCLUDE A TRAITOR whose hands are
covered with the blood of so many TRUE PATRIOTS!

There are few things I have strong visceral
reactions to, but Hanoi Jane's participation in
BLATANT TREASON, is one of them!

Seven & a half years!

George Bush has been in office for 7 1/2 years. The first six the
economy was fine.

A little over one year ago:

1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;

2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;

3) The unemployment rate was 4.5%.

4) The DOW JONES hit a record high -- 14,000+

5) American's were buying new cars, taking cruises and vacations
overseas, living large!

But American's wanted 'CHANGE'! So, in 2006 they voted in a
Democratic Congress & yep -- we got 'CHANGE' all right!

1) Consumer confidence has plummeted;

2) Gasoline is now over $4 a gallon & climbing;

3) Unemployment is up to 5% (a 10% increase);

4) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $12 trillion dollars &
prices are still dropping;

5) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure.

6) THE DOW is probing another low ~11,300 -- $2.5 TRILLION DOLLARS HAS
EVAPORATED FROM THEIR STOCKS, BONDS & MUTUAL FUNDS INVESTMENT
PORTFOLIOS!

YEP, IN 2006 AMERICA VOTED FOR CHANGE! AND WE GOT IT! A DEMOCRATIC
CONGRESS, NANCY PELOSI. HARRY REID.

Now the Democrats' candidate for president -- and the polls say he's
gonna be 'the man' -- claims he's gonna really give us change! Just
how
much more 'change' do you think you can stand?

I got this 3rd hand at the water cooler, and, of course, have no way to substantiate something that must be DNC Top Secret/ Compartmentalized.

Let me share some info with you that I have gotten from excellent sources within the DNC:

On or about October 5th, Biden will excuse himself from the ticket, citing health problems, and he will be replaced by Hillary. This is timed to occur after the VP debate on 10/2.

There have been talks all weekend about how to proceed with this info. generally, the feeling is that we should all go ahead and get it out there to as many blog sites and personal email lists as is possible. I have already seen a few short blurbs about this - the "health problem" cited in those articles was aneurysm. Probably many of you have heard the same rumblings.

However, at this point, with this inside info from the DNC, it looks like this Obama strategy will be a go. Therefore, it seems that the best strategy is to get out in front of this Obama maneuver, spell it out in detail, and thereby expose it for the grand manipulation that it is.

So, let's start mixing this one up and cut the Obamites off at the pass - send this info out to as many people as you can - post about it on websites and blogs - etc etc [/size]

*_Sarah Palin Regarding Her Experience_*

There has been a considerable amount of discussions centered around
McCain's pick for vice president, Mrs. Sarah Palin, and her lack of
experience. Her critics must keep in mind, that there are three
branches of government, the Executive, the Legislative, and the
Judicial. The President and the vice president works in the Executive
Branch, which means the persons occupying these positions must have
executive or managerial experience. In other words, the President of
the United States will be the CEO of the country. So we must ask
ourselves, of the four candidates running for office, which one has the
most executive or managerial experience.

*Palin's Experience vs Obama's and Biden's*

Critics have often mentioned that fact that Mrs. Palin was a two term
mayor of a city with only 9,000 residents and that she has only been a
governor for two years. When we look at Barack Obama and Senator Biden
(her primary critics), neither of the two have ever managed a small 7-11
convenience store or a town of 20 people, nor have they ever ran a
corporation (or any size) as a CEO. So what executive experience do
they bring to the Executive Branch of government?

*_The Executive Branch
_*
Like the CEO of any corporation, the Chief Executive Officer of the
United States must be a good manager and have the ability to select a
very competent staff to run the corporation (our nation). he or she do
not have to be an expert in every department of the corporation
(marketing, manufacturing, product development, engineering, quality
control, human resources, accounting, advertising, or foreign trade).
It is the CEO's job to surround himself (herself) or hire people to
perform these task for them and to advise them (the CEO) in these
specific areas. Mayors of cities and governors of states are the
closest related jobs to the position of President of the United States.
Perhaps this is why so many of our most recent presidents have been
governors (Clinton, Carter, Reagan and Bush). None of these individuals
as governors had any real, foreign policy experience and none of them
thought enough of Senator Biden to select him to be their Secretary of
State or National Security Advisor (to advise them in the area of
foreign policy). I have never seen any sitting president seek the
advice or the counsel of any of the governors mentioned above on
foreign policy matters.

*_Governors Are Mini Presidents_*

One might say that governors are mini presidents. Governors have their
own military (National Guard), they are elected and legally responsible
for a territory, they have their legislative and judicial branches of
governments (including their own Supreme Court), they have to establish
budgets, create jobs, work with both political parties to get
legislation passed, encourage the growth of businesses in their
states,20maintain a thriving economy, and look out for the welfare and
the safety of millions of people under their jurisdiction.

Sarah Palin is the only person (currently) running for office that has
this type of experience. Rumor says, Obama didn't even manage or run
his household - that was Michelle's job. So if Obama has never managed
a small 7-11 store, or been the mayor over a town of 20 people, nor has
he ever been the pastor of store front church of 15 people or more for
15 minutes, how can he manage and oversee an entire country that consist
of millions of residents for four years?

*_Obama Community Organizing Experience_*

Many may say, what about Obama's Community Organizing experience.
According to Obama's own account of his work in this area (in his book:
*_Dreams From My Father_*), he only served in this capacity for slightly
over a year and was not very successful. His lack of success and
frustrations is why he decided to go to college (page 252-253 and pages
275-276.

*_Sarah's Pregnant Daughter_*

Sarah's pregnant daughter has nothing to do with her qualifications. It
is most unfortunate, but many good parents have experienced the same,
including preachers and politicians. The questions that we should be
asking is: Did Obama have sex with his white college girl friend? Did
she get pregnant? Did Obama recommend that she get an abortion. The
reason why we bring her u p, that she is the only serious relationship
that Obama refers to in his book Dreams From My Father (page 211). As
you know they broke when they had a fight regarding black people being
angry. Obama said his white girl friend cried and she that /*if she
could be black she would.

*/Jimmy Carter had his beer drinking brother, Billy, Reagan had his
divorce issues, Clinton had his affairs, Cheney had his lesbian daughter
and George W. had his partying daughter. We must all ask ourselves
this: Did our pre-marital sex or our children's premarital sexual
activities (against our wishes) affect our careers?

Ed Young Jr.: Scripture is best voter guide

GRAPEVINE, Texas (BP)--Scripture provides guidance for Christians in deciding
which candidate to support on Election Day, Texas pastor Ed Young Jr. told his
congregation Oct. 19.

It was the second part in a sermon series Young has dubbed
"Politicked." The pastor of Fellowship Church in Grapevine gave five
categories believers should examine about each political candidate.

"Once we ask ourselves these five questions and
once we answer them, then
we'll be ready to vote for the right person," he said.

The five categories are:

-- Character.

"Everything begins with character," said Young, pointing to Proverbs
29:2: "... If we elect righteous leaders, our government will be righteous,
and if our government is righteous then the laws will be righteous."

Christians should take a political candidate's private conduct seriously,
Young said.

"Character can be defined as who you are when no one's looking,"
he said. " ... For a long, long time, people have said, 'Who you are in
private does not really affect who you area in public office.' ...
That's absolutely, friends, nuts, because who you are in private is who you
are. Who you are in private is who you are in public."

-- Conviction.

Reading from Proverbs 28:1 -- which says the "righteous are bold as a
lion" -- Young said, "We need to elect lionesses and lions in this day
-- people who are not politicians, but people who are statesmen, people who are
leaders." That conviction, he said, must be based on God's Word.

He mentioned the "gay agenda" as one area where society is moving
away from scriptural teachings.

"God has told us from cover to cover that there is only one context where
sex should be enjoyed and practiced and celebrated -- marriage.... The Bible
tells me and it tells you that during the end of time ... what is right wrong
and wrong right."

Referencing those who compare the homosexual movement to the civil rights
movement, Young said, "I've known a lot of former homosexuals but
I've never met a former African American."

-- Courage.

"Does this candidate display courage?" Young asked. "Can you
look at this candidate's life -- the history of him or her -- and say,
'You know what? He stood up for courage there. She stood up for
courage.' ... Courage is the God-given ability to stand.... Conviction is
belief. Courage is behavior."

Pointing to Proverbs 11:3, Young said, "The other day I heard a candidate
being interviewed, and here's the response the candidate made to a question
on morality, ... 'Well, for me as a Christian.' ... That was a
relativistic answer. … The relativist says, 'What's right for you is
true for you and what's true for you is true for you.'"

Giving an example of the absurdity of relativism, Young said someone could say,
as part of the relativistic worldview, "What's true for me is to fly
airliners into the sides of skyscrapers and kill hundreds and hundreds of
people."

-- Compassion.

Giving the biblical definition of compassion, Young read from Proverbs 31:8-9,
which says, "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the
rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of
the poor and needy." He also read from Proverbs 24:11, "Rescue those
being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward20slaughter."

Abortion, Young said, is an issue where a political candidate must show
compassion.

"We're taking the lives, of ... 3,200 babies a day -- taking the lives
of developing babies -- when you'll get thrown in prison and pay an
astronomical fine if you disturb the eggs of developing sea turtles," he
said. "What's right is wrong and wrong is right."

-- Constituency.

Young said examining who supports and opposes the candidate can help determine
who to support.

"I can meet your friends, without even meeting you, and tell you what kind
of a person you are," Young said. "Who applauds this potential
candidate and who opposes them? We better wake up and smell the coffee, here,
friends. If the mainstream secular media supports a candidate or an issue, there
is a great chance that something is sideways, you better look at that one very,
very closely. Who opposes them? Who is for them?"

WOODSTOCK, Ga. (BP)--Amid the nation's turmoil is "an opportunity for
a Great Awakening,"
two leaders of the Southern Baptist Convention said in
an open letter to Southern Baptists Oct. 20.

At "one of the greatest leadership challenges in our history," there
is "plain and simply an opportunity for the church to go to its knees and
seek the Lord for revival in our land," wrote SBC President Johnny Hunt,
pastor of the Atlanta-area First Baptist Church in Woodstock. Ed Litton,
president of the SBC Pastors' Conference, also signed the letter. Litton is
pastor of North Mobile Baptist Church in Alabama.

"We must do the one thing God requires of His people, which is to seek His
face," Hunt wrote. "Let me encourage pastors and leaders to follow the
promptings of the Holy Spirit in the particulars of how your church family
chooses to do this. But let us all set aside time to seek His face and repent of
our sins, believing God's Word that He will again come and heal our
land."

Dear Southern Baptist,

We are standing at a historic moment in America. This may be one of the
greatest leadership challenges in our history and certainly in our lifetime.
Every sector of American life is feeling the powerful effect of the breakdown in
leadership character. A whirlwind of problems reveals that our moral
infrastructure has been taken for granted far too long and now is exposed to be
weak and incapable of withstanding the pressures. This is plain and simply an
oppo
rtunity for the church to go to its knees and seek the Lord for revival in
our land. Things are bad and may get worse, yet make no mistake about it; this
is an opportunity for a Great Awakening. God created and preserved this nation,
and the future is dependent upon a humble church seeking His face for renewal,
revival and refreshing. We are not the handmaidens of political forces; we are
the people of God. We must do the one thing God requires of His people, which is
to seek His face.

Let me encourage pastors and leaders to follow the promptings of the Holy
Spirit in the particulars of how your church family chooses to do this. But let
us all set aside time to seek His face and repent of our sins, believing
God's Word that He will again come and heal our land.

2 Chronicles 7:14 says that "if my people, who are called by my name, will
humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways,
then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their
land."

We stand at the door of a great opportunity! History will one day reveal if we
stepped through this great door or not.

This election has me very worried. So many things to consider. About a year ago I would have voted for Obama. I have changed my mind three times since than. I watch all the news channels, jumping from one to another. I must say this drives my husband crazy. But, I feel if you view MSNBC, CNN, and Fox News, you might get some middle ground to work with. About six months ago, I started thinking 'where did the money come from for Obama'. I have four daughters who went to College, and we were middle class, and money was tight. We (including my girls) worked hard and there were lots of student loans.
I started looking into Obama's life.
Around 1979 Obama started college at Occidental in California. He is very open about his two years at Occidental, he tried all kinds of drugs and was wasting his time but, even though he had a brilliant mind, did not apply himself to his studies. 'Barry' (that was the name he used all his life) during this time had two roommates, Muhammad Hasan Chandoo and Wahid Hamid, both from Pakistan. During the summer of 1981, after his second year in college, he made a 'round the world' trip. Stopping to see his mother in Indonesia, next Hyderabad in India, three weeks in Karachi, Pakistan where he stayed with his roommate's family, then off to Africa to visit his father's family. My question - Where did he get the money for this trip? Neither I, nor any one of my children would have had money for a trip like this when they where in college. When he came back he started school at Columbia University in New York. It is at this time he wants everyone to call him Barack - not Barry. Do you know what the tuition is at Columbia? It's not cheap! to say the least. Where did he get money for tuition? Student Loans? Maybe. After Columbia, he went to Chicago to work as a Community Organizer for $12,000. a year. Why Chicago? Why not New York? He was already living in New York.
By 'chance' he met Antoin 'Tony' Rezko, born in Aleppo Syria, and a real estate developer in Chicago. Rezko has been convicted of fraud and bribery this year. Rezko, was named 'Entrepreneur of the Decade' by the Arab-American Business and Professional Association'. About two years later, Obama entered Harvard Law School. Do you have any idea what tuition is for Harvard Law School? Where did he get the money for Law School? More student loans? After Law school, he went back to Chicago. Rezko offered him a job, which he turned down. But, he did take a job with Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland. Guess what? They represented 'Rezar' which is Rezko's firm. Rezko was one of Obama's first major financial contributors when he ran for office in Chicago. In 2003, Rezko threw an early fundraiser for Obama which Chicago Tribune reporter David Mendelland claims was instrumental in providing Obama with 'seed money' for his U.S. Senate race. In 2005, Obama purchased a new home in Kenwoood District of Chicago for $1.65 million (less than asking price). With ALL those Student Loans - Where did he get the money for the property? On the same day Rezko's wife, Rita, purchased the adjoining empty lot for full price. The London Times reported that Nadhmi Auchi, an Iraqi-born Billionaire loaned Rezko $3.5 million three weeks before Obama's new home was purchased. Obama met Nadhmi Auchi many times with Rezko.
Now, we have Obama running for President. Valerie Jarrett, was Michele Obama's boss. She is now Obama's chief advisor and he does not make any major decisions without talking to her first. Where was Jarrett born? Ready for this? Shiraz, Iran! Do we see a pattern here? Or am I going crazy?
On May 10, 2008 The Times reported, Robert Malley advisor to Obama was 'sacked' after the press found out he was having regular contacts with 'Hamas', which controls Gaza and is connected with Iran. This past week, buried in the back part of the papers, Iraqi newspapers reported that during Obama's visit to Iraq, he asked their leaders to do nothing about the war until after he is elected, and he will 'Take care of things'.
Oh, and by the way, remember the college roommates that where born in Pakistan? They are in charge of all those 'small' Internet campaign contribution for Obama. Where is that money coming from? The poor and middle class in this country? Or could it be from the Middle East?
And the final bit of news. On September 7, 2008, The Washington Times posted a verbal slip that was made on 'This Week' with George Stephanapoulos. Obama on talking about his religion said, 'My Muslim faith'. When questioned, 'he made a mistake'. Some mistake!

and misspells 'potato,' and we still hear jokes about it.

Barack Obama says he's gonna go out and campaign in 57 states, he was just
tired, you know, it's been such a long campaign, he's been so many
places,he probably thinks there are 57 states.

Well, I have here a printout from a web site called the International
Humanist and Ethical Union.
And here is how the second paragraph of an article on that website begins.

'Every year from 1999 to 2005 the organization of the Islamic conference
representing the 57 Islamic states presented a resolution to the United
Nations Commission on human rights called combating.'

The following is a down-home example of how our tax system works:

Bar Stool Economics

Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:

The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing.
The fifth would pay $1.
The sixth would pay $3.
The seventh would pay $7.
The eighth would pay $12.
The ninth would pay $18.
The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.

So, that's what they decided to do. The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve. 'Since you are all such good customers, he said, 'I'm going to reduce the cost of your daily beer by $20. Drinks for the ten now cost just $80.

The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes, so the first four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free. But what about the other six men - the paying customers? How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his 'fair share?' They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from everybody's share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being paid to drink his beer. So, the bar owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man's bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay.
And so: The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% savings)
The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33%savings).
The seventh now pay $5 instead of $7 (28%savings).
The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings).
The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings).
The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings).

Each of the six was better o ff than before. And the first four continued to drink for free. But once outside the restaurant the men began to compare their savings.

'I only got a dollar out of the $20,'declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man,' but he got $10!'

'Yeah, that's right,' exclaimed the fifth man. 'I only saved a dollar, too. It's unfair that he got ten times more than I!'

'That's true!!' shouted the seventh man. 'Why should he get $10 back when I got only two? The wealthy get all the breaks!'

'Wait a minute,' yelled the first four men in unison. 'We didn't get anything at all. The system exploits the poor!'

The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.

The next night the tenth man didn't show up for drinks, so the nine sat down and had beers without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important. They didn't have enough money between all of them for even half of the bill!

And that, boys and girls, journalists and college professors, is how our tax system works. The people who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore. In fact, they might start drinking overseas where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.

A Humble Plea To Obama Supporters:

Dear friends,

I am truly astonished by the ignorance Obama supporters have displayed in their quest to get someone - ANYONE - into the White House. Now, wait a minute. I can well understand your dislike or even hatred of our clown, GWB, but he is not the root cause of all of our problems. Our Congress is. And a change there would be welcomed by all. You ain't gonna get it done with Obama. You gotta fire the whole damnable crooked Congress. (Read my book, "BERNIE'S WAR!").

Perhaps I'm looking at all of this from a different perspective than you because my life experiences have been so different from yours. I'm 80-years old and have traveled the world where I've seen a great deal. I spent five years on active duty as a fighter pilot in the USAF and another seven years flying with the Air National Guard in California and Texas as well as a few years flying in the USAF Reserve. I spent three years on active duty in Germany flying Czech border patrol with "cold guns" in aircraft inferior to the MIG during the Korean "Police Action" when it was thought that Korea was a diversion for a Soviet invasion of Western Europe.

I lived abroad for a total of 28 years. Three years in Germany, twenty years in Switzerland and five years in Great Britain where I was based doing "spook" work for the U.S. behind the Iron Curtain before it fell. During that era of the Cold War I ventured to Moscow, Prague, Warsaw, Bucharest, Peshawar, Pakistan and Bulgaria posing as a Swiss French-speaking arms dealer purchasing weapons we surreptitiously supplied to the Afghani Mujahadeen in their successful fight against the Soviets - all of which came back to haunt us.

I've been there and done that and have had close associations with top government people in Germany, the Netherlands and Great Britain. I've had more foreign affair experience than Obama could ever dream of and, yet, wouldn't have the temerity to deign myself "Presidential" material; although I feel eminently more qualified to judge who would NOT be best for our country. My long-time world experience should count for something in my plea to you to abandon this miscreant flake. You will only be doing yourself and our country an enormous disservice if you persist in your support of this flash-in-the-pan opportunist. On this, you MUST trust me.

I've associated closely with European royalty and African politicians. I've traveled to the Far East to observe their cultures. My point is that Obama, although formally well educated and a brilliant orator, is a neophyte when it comes to understanding the world and is uniquely unqualified for the job as President of these great United States. His knowledge of economics is nil and his tax proposals absurd and life-threatening to the U.S. not only in economic terms but in preserving our national security as well. I don't want a "citizen of the world" to be President, I want a citizen of the good old USA to be President. Screw the rest of the world as they have well and truly screwed us. The time has come for us to awaken and start looking after ourselves. Now THAT would be CHANGE if that's what you're looking for.

While McCain has abstained from playing "the race-card", Obama is playing it to the hilt even though he's technically not an African-American. To qualify for this distinction you must be at least one-sixth black. Obama is only one-eighth. His father would be, as he was one-sixth. No, Obama is more Muslim than black yet he trades on his blackness.

The larger question I have about him is that we really don't know much about him other than what HE tells us, what we read on blogs and from some serious non-partisan investigators whose factual reports are, unfortunately, generally ignored and which receive precious little media exposure.

I, as a registered Independent, a military veteran and a patriot, beseech you to put aside party considerations and vote for the lesser of the two evils. Yes, I am NOT a McCain supporter, but he is, at least, not a flake, doesn't carry Muslim baggage and is a PROVEN hero and patriot WITH experience. It's not a party issue. It's all about electing the best we can trust with what we've got to work with. Mr. Obama is NOT that guy.

Please, please rethink your voting position.

Thanks for reading my innermost thoughts. I care about all of you, but I care more about our country. Please help me to do both.
