Debate.. Are Aging Rock Super Stars Timeless or Too Old
Definitely Timeless..
I am a stone cold, die hard rock and roll seventies child. The majority of the musicians that I listened to when I was a young teen ager ( I turned 50 years old in March 2008) are still producing great stuff, as well as reproducing the old stuff... that is still rocking and rolling the teen agers of today.
My son grew up listening to Meatloaf, the Rolling Stones, The Beatles, the Eagles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Eric Clapton, Bob Seager, Areosmith, ZZ Topp and a dozen other music icons of my day. When he started exploring his own musical interest I listened with him to groups like Guns N Roses, Metallica and Nirvana.
I am an avid concert goer, and over the years had taken my son to see quite a few of my favorite bands , so when Guns N Roses came to Dallas he ask me if I wanted to go...I of coarse said yes.. and we had a blast ! We were talking later after the concert and he said to me "Mom, I think Guns N Roses are almost as good as the Rolling Stones in concert, didn't you?"
Good Rock and Roll is never too old to perform. I still get the same thrill seeing Mick Jagger or Don Henley walk on stage that I got over 25 years ago. I have great respect for the music and the performers who can survive almost four decades in a business that is very competitive and ever changing, still have hits at the top of the charts, and care enough about their fans to still entertain us live. Timeless .. yes they are, and I will still be buying my tickets to their concerts when I need a wheel chair ramp to get there !

they are all most definately timeless...and Led Zeppelin is from the 70's right......I'm also glad all those bands there were there to inspire 80's [Bon Jovi] and today's artists and rock bands as well...I think the rock from the 60's and 70's deffinately shaped todays rock music

I'd also say that Deep Purple was another band that shaped todays music
