I am in the market for a new laptop. Any suggestions on what kind or how much of this and that I need? Suggestions please......

I know the wal-mart in corsicana sells good laptops and big name brands for a few houndred...what you need..hmm....your not really one for entertainment..so the other types I saw there wher for;
